	top	The Project: SCIENCE We were to find out what the world and everything else is made out of. Subject Learning I used to wonder about what made everything , but now I know atoms make up everything. The biggest obstacle was to try and learn about the elements atoms make, such as Helium. Two things I learned are atoms make up all mass and up and down Quarks make up protons and neutrons.   Technology Learning What did you learn about technology? 	top	The Project: SOCIAL STUDIES    Subject Learning I used to know about Hammurabi's laws, but now I think he was petty cool, like when he would sentence people to have their hand cut off for yelling or swearing at their dad. The biggest obstacle was trying to fit music into the report on the computer. Two things I learned are laws back then were mean, and I learned how to record music on the computer. Next time, I would make the report action-packed for my kind of music. Technology Learning What did you learn about technology? The report and recordings were alll done on a computer. 	top	The Project: READING  This year my goal was to try and read faster, and that was when I learned how to skim and scan.   Subject Learning I used to read slow, but now I skim and scan. The biggest obstacle was to scim and scan at the same time beacuse I can't read very fast. Two things I learned are take notes faster, and find words or phrases about my topic faster. Next time, I would read the writing , then skim and scan for stuff. Technology Learning What did you learn about technology? I learned that when I type something up the computer, I can skim and scan in about 5 seconds when it used to take about a minute. Sample Student Work My notes about my acid reduction experiment.
	top	The Project: WRITING   My goal this year for writing was to learn how to write a correct report. Subject Learning I used to not know how to write a report with main ideas and stuff about the same topic not two, but now I do because I know how to skim and scan for information. This helped find ideas so that I could put them together and form a report. The biggest obstacle was trying to not make run on sentences. Two things I learned are a report has a INTRO, BODY, and CONCLUSION, and a report has to have a thesis statement in the INTRO. Technology Learning What did you learn about technology?
