Glacial Till
by Kah-si-yet Louie
Glacial till is material that deposits when a glacier retreats and leaves behind mounds of gravel, small rocks, sand, and even mud. As the glacier moves, soil, ground, and rock come up from beneath it. When the glacier melts, the till is left.
Glacial till is also known for forming excellent soil for farmland. It is excellent for helping farmlands grow great crops. That way, the crops will grow healthy and big. It wouldn't only help the crops grow, but it would help us; we eat the food that the glacial till helps grow. That's the other reason glacial till is so important.
