Question:
What effect does freezing temptress have on water?
Hypothesis:
when the water freezes the water/ice will expand.
Observation:
I completely filled the bottle with water making sure all the air bubbles where out I tightly capped the bottle and put in to a plastic bag. When I went to lunch I put it into the school freezer for the night.
Method:
The next day I checked the bottle of water to discover that one side of the bottle had been poped out.
Conclusion:
The freezing temperatures frozed the water, making it expand. My theory had been correct although I did doubt it.
Application:
In the real world, the water seeps into the pavements small cracks and freezes than expands which causes the pavement to crack, There seem to be no solution to this problem.
