The Seatle Mariners are a good team in baseball and they have good players on the team. There is a rookie on the team and he comes from Japan and his name is Ichiro Suzuiki. Ichiro Suzuki is going to get Rookie of the Year. On Ichiro's jersey it has his first name instead of his last name. The reason his first is on his jersey is because that is the only name they know him by in Japan.

Ichiro had a 23 game hitting streak going by the New York pitcher and his hitting streak was over. If he got a hit he would have tied Joey Cora. If he would of tied Joey Cora, he would of been one hit away from tying Alex Rodriguz of his 25 game hitting streak.
