The content and writing is clear and detailed to explain the thesis, question, or prompt. It is obvious that this work and the process creating it was done with planning to organize ideas and connections and with the analysis of research and notes or writing to thoroughly explain the topic.

3: Includes all but one or two elements listed in a manner that demonstrates careful and thoughtful effort. The work demonstrates each element in most parts of the work. The content and writing is clear and detailed to explain the thesis, question, or prompt. It is obvious that this work and the process creating it was done with planning to organize ideas and connections and with the analysis of research and notes or writing to clearly explain the topic.

2: Includes some of the elements listed in a manner that demonstrates some effort. The work demonstrates some elements in many parts of the work. The content and writing is fairly clear and with some detail to explain the thesis, question, or prompt. It is obvious that this work and the process creating it was done with some planning to organize ideas and connections, but with little analysis of research and notes or writing to somewhat explain the topic. This work needs more work.

1: Includes only a few of the elements listed in a manner that demonstrates a last minute or half-hearted effort. The work demonstrates some elements in some parts of the work. The content and writing is unclear and difficult to follow; either a lot of detail about one part exists or only general ideas are presented to partially explain the thesis, question, or prompt. It is obvious that this work and the process creating it was done with little planning to organize ideas and connections, and with no or little analysis of research and notes or writing to somewhat explain the topic or parts of the topic. This work is only a beginning.
